HOW TO KNOW JESUS

• God has a plan for your life! You were not a mistake. You have a God given destiny, a reason for being on this planet.
• You have a choice today! You can keep living for yourself or living for Jesus. His plan for you before the creation of the world, was for you to receive His love for you and to be in relationship with him.
• You can't do it yourselves!

The problem is our self-centredness and selfishness that separates us from that relationship with God. The only way you can get back into right relationship with God is through Jesus' forgiveness and love for you. You can't earn it by being good. You have to:

1. ADMIT - that God has not had first place in your life and that you haven't lived God's way (Prov 3:23) You need Him to change you!
2. ASK - Him to forgive you for your sins (all the stuff you've said and done you know was wrong) and take control of your life. He says if we do this He is faithful and just to forgive us and set us free. (1 John 1:9)
3. ACCEPT - God's free gift of love and forgiveness to you. It is called Salvation. You can't earn it by being good. You have to receive it by faith. It is a gift. ( Eph 2:8-9)

Now pray this simple prayer:

"Jesus, thank you for creating me and giving me a destiny. Forgive me for living for myself and going my own way. I need you to take control of my life. Thank you for taking my place and dying for my sins. I receive your free gift of love, grace and forgiveness. I have chosen to live for you from now on. In Jesus name. AMEN."

Be determined to live for Jesus daily. Turn your back on your old way of living. Ask Him to help you each day. He will. Talk to Him each day as you would to a best friend. Read the bible - start with the Gospel of Matthew (especially at Chapter 5). It will teach you how to live.
